This Time Zone Geocoin is a functional geocoin able to be used in order to find the hour of other UTC time zones.

To use the spinning front of the coin, simply match the current hour of your time to that of your time zone etched along the spinning circles. From there, you can easily note the hours of all of the other time zones in the world.

The design of this coin is inspired by a diagram showing the differences in time between Washington, DC and various other locations around the world. Instead of showing times in different places, we opted in showing the different UTC time zones as it is the main time standard used, and encompassed more places. UTC time does not observe daylight savings time, so some places may have a different time zone depending on the season.

The obverse side of this coin shows some of the inner workings of a pocket watch. We have included several hidden terminologies related to time into the design. Try to find them all!

Send this coin out into the world to a friend or family member a distance away, or simply use it in your collection to figure out how much of a time difference there is between different locations.

The Time Zone Geocoins are approximately 3 1/8" tall and 6mm thick. Each coin is trackable on Geocaching.com. The tracking numbers are engraved directly into the edge of each coin preserving its permanence.
